Truck Profit is a comprehensive trucking management app designed to help truck drivers track their trips, loads, expenses, and generate reports.
- Trip — A complete journey with a start and end date, containing multiple loads and expenses.
- Load — Individual freight hauls within a trip, with origin/destination, mileage, and payment details.
- Expense — Business-related costs incurred during a trip (fuel, food, maintenance, etc.).
01Getting started
Setting up Truck Profit is quick and easy. Follow these steps to create your first trip:
- Launch Truck Profit
- If no trips exist, you'll see an empty state with guidance
- Tap the "+" button to create your first trip
02Creating a new trip
Create a new trip when starting a new journey or work period, or when beginning a series of loads under one trip.
How to create a trip
- Tap the floating "+" button (bottom right).
- If no active trips exist, the trip creation form opens automatically.
- Fill out the required trip details:
- Start Date — When the trip begins
- Odometer Reading — Starting mileage on your truck
- End Date — Leave blank for active trips
- Tap "Save" to create the trip.
Note: Free plan users have a monthly trip limit. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited trips.
03Adding loads to a trip
Add a new load each time you pick up freight or start a separate delivery within your trip.
How to add a load
- With an active trip, tap the "+" button.
- Select "Add Load" from the action sheet.
- Enter the load details:
- Origin — Pickup location (city, state)
- Destination(s) — Drop-off location(s)
- Start Date — When you pick up the load
- Loaded Miles — Distance driven with freight
- Deadhead Miles — Empty miles to pickup
- Gross Pay — Total payment for this load
- Tap "Save" to add the load.
04Tracking expenses
Keep accurate records of all business expenses to maximize deductions and track profitability.
Common expense types
- Fuel purchases
- Food and lodging costs
- Truck maintenance and repairs
- Tolls and permits
- Any other business-related expenses
How to add an expense
- With an active trip, tap the "+" button.
- Select "Add Expense" from the action sheet.
- Enter the expense details:
- Merchant — Where you spent the money
- Date — When the expense occurred
- Amount — Cost in dollars
- Category — Type of expense (fuel, food, maintenance, etc.)
- Volume — For fuel expenses, gallons purchased
- Note — Additional details (optional)
- Tap "Save" to record the expense.
Tip: Add expenses immediately to avoid forgetting important deductions.
05Completing loads & trips
Mark loads as complete after successful delivery to maintain accurate delivery dates and track your completed work.
Complete your trip when your work period ends, you return home or to your base, or you've finished the final delivery. Completing trips regularly helps you track your progress and maintain organized records.

Truck Profit provides powerful reporting tools to help you understand and improve your business performance.

- Filter by date ranges
- Access detailed trip breakdowns
