01Automatic collection of information

When you open the app, our systems may automatically record basic technical information. This data may include:

How we use this data: Information collected automatically is used only to identify bugs, improve stability, and understand how features are used. It is not linked to your identity and is not shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

02Collection of personal information

ContractorKit is designed to work entirely on your device without requiring an account. You may voluntarily enter business and client information into the app. This may include:

All of this information is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly use a sharing feature (e.g., emailing a PDF invoice).

03Mobile application data processing

ContractorKit uses on-device AI to power features like voice job entry. When you use these features:

Purpose and Legal Basis

On-device processing is used solely to provide the features you request. You retain full control over your data and can delete it at any time from within the app.

Data Retention and Security

All data is stored on your device and subject to your device's security settings (Face ID, passcode, etc.). You may delete all app data by removing the app from your device.

04Use and processing of collected information

We use any information we collect to:

We do not use your data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or any purpose not described here.

05Managing information

Since ContractorKit stores data locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can delete individual jobs, clients, or invoices from within the app, or delete all data by uninstalling the app. If you have questions about your data, contact us at support@nvklabs.com.

06No ads, no third-party tracking

ContractorKit contains no advertising and no behavioral tracking for marketing purposes. We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Apple's App Store analytics or crash reporting) to understand app performance. These tools collect only aggregated, anonymous data and do not identify individual users.

07Disclosure of information

We do not share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share limited information with:

Legal disclosure: We may disclose information when required by law (subpoena, court order, regulatory request) or to protect the safety and rights of our users or the public.

08Retention of information

Your job records, client data, and invoices are stored only on your device and retained for as long as you keep the app installed. We do not retain copies of your business data on our servers. Diagnostic and analytics data (crash logs, usage statistics) may be retained for up to 12 months before being deleted or anonymized.

09Transfer of information

ContractorKit is designed for users in the United States and Canada. Because all primary data is stored on your device, there is no international transfer of your business records. Diagnostic data processed by third-party services may be stored in the United States.

10Region specific notices

Disclosures for residents of the United States and Canada

If you are a resident of the United States or Canada, you have certain rights including:

11How to exercise your rights

To exercise any of your privacy rights, contact us at support@nvklabs.com. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. For App Store purchases and subscriptions, manage them through your Apple ID settings.

12Cookies

The ContractorKit mobile app does not use cookies. If you visit our website, essential cookies may be used for functionality. With your consent where required, optional analytics cookies may be used to understand usage patterns and improve the product.

13Data analytics

We use limited, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the app is used (e.g., which features are most popular, crash rates). These tools are configured to avoid collecting personally identifiable information. Analytics data is used solely to improve stability, performance, and user experience.

14Privacy of children

ContractorKit is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us at support@nvklabs.com to request deletion.

15We do not sell your personal information

We do not sell, rent, or disclose your personal information to third parties for any commercial purpose. Your data is used solely to provide and improve ContractorKit. Privacy is a core principle of how we build our products.

16Do Not Track signals

Some browsers incorporate a Do Not Track feature. Our Services are not currently set up to interpret or respond to these signals. As described throughout this Policy, we limit collection and use of your information regardless and do not engage in behavioral tracking or targeted advertising.

17Email marketing

We may send transactional emails (support responses, important updates) and, with your consent, product newsletters. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. You will continue to receive essential service-related communications.

18Links to other resources

ContractorKit may contain links to third-party services (e.g., Apple Maps for job site navigation). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

19Information security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Since ContractorKit stores data locally on your device, your device's own security (Face ID, Touch ID, passcode) is your primary protection. We recommend keeping your device software up to date and enabling device-level security.

No system is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and your data backed up.

20Data breach

If we discover that any systems we operate have been compromised in a way that affects your personal information, we will investigate promptly and notify affected users as required by law. Because most ContractorKit data is stored locally on your device, the risk of a server-side breach affecting your business records is minimal.

21Changes and amendments

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (in-app notification or App Store update notes). The "Effective date" at the top indicates the latest version. Continued use of ContractorKit after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.

22Acceptance of this policy

By downloading and using ContractorKit, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any term of this Policy, please do not use the app. We built ContractorKit with privacy as a core principle — your information stays on your device, private and under your control.

23Contacting us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, wish to exercise your rights, or have privacy concerns, please contact us at support@nvklabs.com.

We will attempt to resolve your request within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
